The GD 401 narrow web die cutting/kiss cutting system is capable of developing twenty tons of cutting force and reaching speeds up to 150 strokes per minute. Compared to traditional manual die cutting machinery, the GD line of die cutting/kiss cutting systems have production rates 4-5 time higher with savings of 20-30% in materials.
These machines are used in a wide variety of industrial fields throughout the world including automotive, textiles, paper, footwear, packaging, rubber articles, seals and gaskets, foam products, felt materials, double sided adhesives, labels, Velcro, filters etc. These die cutting/kiss cutting machines are fully automatic and CNC controlled which allows for high precision cutting and maximum output. This particular machine, the GD401, is equipped with a roll holder with pneumatic expansion shafts (diameter as requested) and the material is fed through a tension unit for flimsy materials so the customer can receive optimal material yield and less headaches from bunched parts. After the die cutting or kiss cutting is complete the material is fed through the K2 system for separating difficult scrap or adhesive backed materials. The rewinders for both cut parts and scrap are electronically controlled through the machines CNC system utilizing production and ease of roll removal.
