Pure water cutting enables faster and better-quality cuts, and can be applied on virtually any material. The process does not generate heat in the material being cut, making it excellent for cutting. Water-jet cutting is based on the principle of pumping water at a very high pressure of up to 4,000 bar (60,000 psi) through an an extremely fine orifice. This high-pressure jet of water is able to penetrate almost any sysnthetic material of virtually any thickness.
Currently we have three waterjet cutting systems available. The ATOM Flashjet 2400 is a total leather cutting system that can easily accommodate hides up to the size of a half cowhide. Acquisition of hide contours and marking of quality areas is performed by a dedicated Intelliview System designed to recognize the usable areas of the hide and then automatically nest the desired patterns into the cutting system. The Flashjet 2000 DA with three cutting heads, and automatic pallets for loading and unloading of materials is designed for high production. While the ATOM Flashjet 1600 SA waterjet cutting system, which has a single cutting nozzle and two manually, controlled pallets, is the ideal for just-in-time production and material savings at an economical price.
All ATOM dieless cutting systems are computer controlled with state-of-the-art digital operations that integrate the most sophisticated CAD/CAM software available.
