| ATOM Flashjet 2400 waterjet cutting system is an automatic production line for dieless leather cutting. This system is constituted by a cutting station with a waterjet table and by a powered feeding system with dual pallets. This is the top of the Atom dieless cutting line which includes the Flashjet 2000DA and Flashjet 1600SA. |
The operations of hide loading and collecting of cut pieces are assisted by an Intelliview system with a high resolution projection area designed to automatically detect the useable and unusable parts of the hide.
It also designates certain areas rating them from excellent to poor quality of the hide. Once the hide is marked, the operator converts the marked area into the integrated nesting system so customers can achieve from 3-15% in material savings. The working area of the Flashjet can accommodate hides up to the size of a half cow hide. The special surface of the cutting and transportation pallets allows for fast, clean and accurate cutting due to it's special steel mesh structure with steel pins to minimize the back splashing-effect. For operator's total safety this system is fully protected by guards and safety devices. These systems are being used in large production leather manufacturing facilities for the cutting of leather for automobile seating, designer handbags, shoes, belts, specialty novelty items and various other leather goods. There are two reasons ATOM's Flashjet cutting systems stand above the rest: there hide acquisition stations and there nesting capabilities.
