The new ATOM Flashcut EMHD 30155 2 Z-Axis was designed for industries which cut and mill foams for manufacturing packaging, tool holder cases and sound proof components. This system can also be used for cutting and or milling carbon fibers, rubber, hard plastic materials, (PVC, polycarbonates, acrylics etc..), wood and similar materials.
Robustness of Structure We can affirm with certainty that this machine has an extremely strong and rigid structure: even stronger than the traditional HD Flashcut which is notably the most robust on the market. The gantry has been redesigned with a considerably rigid & reinforced structure. Furthermore, to avoid any displacement of the head during cutting or milling, two pre-charged high quality guides (on which the head runs) have been equipped on this version. The head movement is driven by a rack & pinion system to assure high degrees of cutting & milling accuracy. Variable Power of the Vacuum Pump The possibility of varying the pump allows the following; -High vacuum, when needed for best stability of certain materials or when cutting at a very high speed. -Lower vacuum whenever less power is needed, thus promoting better energy use. Once the required depression is reached, the pump automatically keeps the number of revolutions and consequently the power absorbed.Multi-Sector Zoned Vacuum System The multi sector zoned vacuum feature is an automatic function which controls the opening of the necessary sectors pertinent to the material shape and size by means of a dedicated software control. High Flatness of Working Surface The perfect parallelism between the material supporting surface and the working tools, besides a consistently high cutting quality ensures a constant and accurate penetration of the milling tool along the whole working surface. This greatly contributes to reduce the wearing of the cutting surface and in turn the operating & maintenance costs.
Cutting & Milling Up to 100MM of Thickness The new double Z axis cutting & milling head allows independently controlling the penetration of both cut & milling tools. This allows the working of 3D shapes of any density foam up to 100mm in thickness (i.e. expanded polyethylene or polyurethane commonly used in the packaging industries) and hard or thin material with very high accuracy. Dust Extraction with Piped External Vacuum System To keep the working area perfectly clean, the machine is provided with a dust extraction system, consisting of a brush around the milling tool and a pipe which connect it to the vacuum system. The exhauster pipe is perfectly integrated in the beam structure to avoid any possible interference while working. Powerful Milling Head To mill a wider range of material we designed a new head, holding a 3 kW electric router spindle with variable speed turning from 1,000 up to 50,000 RPM. The speed can be varied and monitorized through a dedicated digital control panel. A liquid cooling system allows the router spindle to work 24 hours a day. This spindle is equipped with a pneumatic rapid tool changing device for a quick and easy tool change. Fitted with High quality ISO-20 collets: -ER-16: collet chuck for milling tools from 1-10mm -ER-20: collet chuck for milling tools from 1-13mmAn electronic control prevents the use of the spindle if not equipped with a collet.
