The ATOM Flashcut model 610260 knife cutting table is the ideal dieless cutting solution for large scale leather production. The model 610260 has a useful working area of 6.000mm (236") x 2.100mm (82.6") and can accomodate two full bovine hides at one time. With the increased usable area, huge time savings can be acheived by cutting one hide or a portion of the table while the operator unloads previously cut parts, deploys the next hide and prepares the next nesting. The shapes can be manually placed by the operator using our interactive nesting system or automatically nested by our sophisticated software, able to deal with the hide defects, quality areas and the production constraints commonly found in leather goods manufacturing. The support for the leather goods industry is the natural evolution of Atom business, which began about 60 years ago with machines designed for the footwear industry.

Atom has developed a sophisticated automatic nesting system that can be configured to work in different modes:

Manual interactive nesting on the cutting table;
Fully automated nesting on the table;
Off-line nesting (that is calculated before the material is actually deployed on the cutting machine);
Web-based nesting service: Atom is proud to propose this innovative working model: from any web-connected pc, without installing additional software, it is possible to manage and monitor nesting and cutting, being charged for actual usage only. Automatic nesting allows time and material savings, with the additional bonus of precise estimation of times and costs.

The nesting results are not dependent by operator skills, so the work of cutting operators can be organized with more flexibility and a de-skilling of the workers becomes possible, thus achieving further savings.
