The ATOM Intelliview acquisition station is designed to recognize the quality and usable areas of leather hides as well as identifying irregular shaped synthetic materials such as foam and gaskets. This data is transferred into the ATOM nesting software to nest the desired patterns and shapes to be cut on the ATOM dieless cutting system.
This acquisition can be done separate from the cutting process so that production is not hampered.
Digital cameras are used to recognize the outer contour and any holes present in the material. In leather cutting, the customer can identify specific areas in the hide that are classified as scrap, quality 1, quality 2, etc.
A projector, fitted to the unit, gives instant feedback on the leather as the grading lines are drawn. This grading information is used by the software to limit the placement of any parts that are not allowed in these particular areas. The hides are then stored until needed by the Atom cutting system. When required, each hide can be recalled on the cutting machine's PC and positioned on the cutting table by use of laser positioners.
After the cutting phase is complete, the Intelliview projects an identification for each part which assists the operator in sorting and picking up the cut parts.
The Intelliview system is designed to work with both the Flashjet, waterjet cutting systmes Flashcut knife cutting system.
